A Montana State student is more than $11,000 richer after making a full-court shot during halftime of Saturday night’s game.
Saturday night, Montana State hosted Montana in a rivalry game. At halftime, Montana State student Joe Thompson got the chance to win quite a bit of money if he was able to make a full-court shot. Thompson heaved the ball across the court and sunk the shot, earning him $11,111.

The crowd went nuts as Thompson buried the shot. He was, quite understandably, elated when he saw the ball go through the hoop, as well.
Unfortunately, the proved to be the highlight of the night for Montana State, which lost the game to rival Montana 59-54.
