The Michigan State athletics department will be making some facility improvements thanks to some big donors.

Earlier this year it was announced that former Spartans basketball player Mat Ishbia was making a $32 million donation to the MSU athletic program. Out of that $32 million, $20 million was earmarked for the expansion and renovation of the program’s football workout facilities, including the new Tom Izzo Football Building, named after the Spartans’ Hall of Fame basketball coach.

On Saturday, MSU announced a $10 million commitment from Greg and Dawn Williams to support the project.

In addition to the Izzo Football Building, the donations have allowed the athletic department to expand the Skandalaris Football Center. The improvements include a performance zone, the development of new lockers for players, an expansion of the weight room and improved meeting spaces.
