LSU wide receivers Kayshon Boutte and Malik Nabers scrubbed their social media accounts of any LSU affiliation after the loss to Florida State on Sunday night.

It was a heartbreaking loss that ended on a blocked extra point try for LSU. If the extra point was good, the game would have been extended into overtime and LSU would have completed a 14-point comeback.

In the hours after the gut-wrenching loss, Boutte and Nabers deleted LSU from their social media accounts. The two receivers deleted pictures and written acknowledgement of LSU in their Instagram bios.

Boutte had 2 catches for a total of 20 yards, which could have triggered his frustration with the outcome of the game. Boutte was viewed as one of LSU’s top options on offense and in the passing game. For Nabers, he hauled in 5 catches for 34 yards against Florida State.

The 2 receivers were clearly displeased with their performances and went public with the displeasure. It was unclear what Boutte and Nabers will do next, but this was not what LSU wanted. This was head coach Brian Kelly’s 1st game at LSU and he will have to win his team over.

LSU will look to bounce back against Southern on Saturday, Sept. 10.
