Mylachi Williams is staying close to home to play B1G football. The blue-chip edge defender from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, has committed to play for Penn State.

Williams was a sought-after prospect, picking up scholarship offers from 22 schools during his recruitment. For Saturday’s decision, Williams narrowed it down to Penn State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Texas A&M. He livestreamed the commitment announcement on his Instagram account.

A Monsignor Bonner standout, Williams is listed as measuring 6-3, 215 pounds. He is rated 4-stars, the No. 7 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania, No. 26 edge defender and No. 330 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Penn State’s 2024 class was already ranked No. 8 overall on the Composite before landing Williams’ commitment. The Nittany Lions now have 22 pledges for 2024.
