One of the nation’s best running backs has narrowed his list to seven schools, including two Big Ten East powers.

Donovan Edwards released his top seven on Friday afternoon, highlighted by Michigan and Penn State.

In addition to the Wolverines and Nittany Lions, five others made the cut: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Edwards is the No. 3 running back and No. 36 overall player in the class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.

The West Bloomfield, Mich., native is viewed as a Michigan lean according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Edwards also holds offers from Michigan State, Auburn, Florida and Florida State, amongst others.

There’s no timetable for his commitment, but the early signing day period is currently set for Dec. 16-18.
