The 2021 NBA Draft is scheduled for Thursday and a few former B1G stars are expected to hear their name called in the first round.
Michigan’s Franz Wagner and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu are the two B1G players who are projected to be first-round selections on Thursday night. Both had outstanding seasons at the college level in 2020-21.
According to CBS Sports, Wagner is projected to be the first B1G player off the board and will be a lottery pick. He’s slotted to go No. 9. Dosunmu is expected to be taken much later in the first round at the No. 25 spot.

No. 9: Franz Wagner, Michigan (Sacramento Kings)
No. 25: Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois (Los Angeles Clippers)
Last season, Wagner started all 28 games and averaged nearly 32 minutes per contest. He averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 47.7% from the floor and 34.3% from 3-point range.
Dosunmu did it all for Illinois last year, averaging 20.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. He also shot 48.8% from the floor for the year.
The NBA Draft is scheduled to air on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. Coverage will be on ABC and ESPN.
