NBC and Cosm are partnering to give fans a unique viewing experience for select college football games and other sporting events.

Cosm, described as a “leading immersive technology, media, and entertainment company,” is set to open new “immersive entertainment venues” this year.

According to the press release, fans will be offered a “shared reality” experience that “bridges the virtual and physical worlds through Cosm’s pioneered technology and 87-foot diameter, 8K+ LED domes.”

The offerings are expected to include select Notre Dame and Big Ten games. Premier League games and other NBC properties could also be featured using this unique technology.

“We’re excited to partner with Cosm to offer fans a unique viewing experience for some of the most prestigious properties in our portfolio,”  said NBC Sports vice president of programing and owned properties Gary Quinn.

Cosm’s first 2 public immersive entertainment venues are set to open in Los Angeles and Dallas later this year. Details regarding the schedule of events for both of these venues have not yet been announced.

NBC began its media rights partnership with the Big Ten during the 2023 college football season. That deal with NBC, which also includes CBS and FOX, runs through the 2029-30 academic year.
