In March Madness, survive and advance is the name of the game.
No. 3-seed Purdue did just that Thursday night, outlasting an epic comeback from No. 2-seed Tennessee to force overtime and finish off the Sweet Sixteen upset. Now it comes down to Purdue vs. No. 1-seed Virginia for a trip to the Final Four.
Last night, the NCAA revealed the tipoff times for Saturday’s Elite Eight games. The Boilermakers and Cavaliers will tipoff at 8:49 p.m. ET from Louisville, Kentucky. The victor will win the South Region.
It will be the second of two Elite Eight games on Saturday. No. 3-seed Texas Tech will face No. 1-seed Gonzaga in Anahiem, California to decide the West Region. That game will tip off at 6:09 p.m. ET.
Both games will air on TBS.
