NCAA approves blanket waivers for transfers in all sports

The NCAA just unveiled massive news for transfer in all sports when it comes to competing this year.

The Division I Council has granted waivers to allow all DI transfer student-athletes to compete this year for their respective sport, according to Inside the NCAA:

Caroline Lee, who’s the Vice-Chair for the NCAA DI SAAC, said in a statement that, “We are thrilled at the passing of the blanket waiver as we believe it is in line with DI SAAC, ensuring that all our student-athletes have the best opportunity to thrive both academically and athletically. In a time of great uncertainty amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel it is in our best interest to grand immediate eligibility for those who have transferred in order to best support their mental health and well-being.”
