NCAA wrestling action continues on Friday for Session 3 and Shane Sparks of the Big Ten Network has outlined his hammers to watch in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Wisconsin’s Dean Hamiti at 165 pounds, the Big Ten champion, will face Michigan’s Cam Amine, who’s beaten Hamiti twice, including a late take down to beat the Badger in a dual meet.

At 197 pounds, Sparks said to watch for Big Ten champion Silas Allred of Nebraska, who Thursday night beat Penn State’s Max Dean again. On Friday, Allred gets the No. 1 seed of Nino Bonaccorsi of Pitt.

At heavyweight, Tony Cassioppi of Iowa will wrestle Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State, and Sparks noted that those 2 have wrestled twice, and in 2021, Cassioppi beat him a couple times.

“Should be a fun day in Tulsa,” Sparks said. “I can’t wait.”

Quarterfinal action got underway Friday morning, and semifinals are set for the evening.
