Nebraska athletic director was just as frustrated as fans after the Huskers’ disappointing 21-17 loss to Northern Illinois.
After the loss, Shawn Eichorst stopped by the post-game press conference to talk with the media about the game. And while he expressed his support for the team, players and coaches, he didn’t sound too optimistic or enthusiastic about Nebraska’s performances through the first three weeks of the season.

“Frustrated, angry, unacceptable, disappointed,” Eichorst said when he was asked about the fans. “Hang in there. We have a good group of young men in that locker room who are working really hard to represent us and win ball games, and I’d say the same thing about our staff. But everyone’s got to take it up a notch.”
That’s not exactly a ringing endorsement from the athletic director.
Nebraska starts the season 1-2 and will begin B1G play next week against Rutgers. And you can bet that everyone will be looking for a better showing than what was on display this past weekend.
