Nebraska adds to 2024 recruiting class with commitment from TE out of Texas

A Nebraska legacy has joined Husker football’s 2024 recruiting class.

Ian Flynt, a tight end from Texas, announced his commitment to Matt Rhule’s program on Monday, via his Twitter account. Zack Carpenter of Rivals notes that Flynt’s father Darren ran track and field at Nebraska, and his sister Amelia is a current member of the track and field team.

A Katy Taylor standout, Flynt is listed as measuring 6-5, 248 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Flynt is rated 3-stars, the No. 24 tight end, No. 81 Lone Star State standout and No. 463 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

Nebraska extended a scholarship offer to Flynt in December. He has made multiple visits to Lincoln this year.
