It sounds like Nebraska’s quarterback room is going to be a little less crowded.
During a press conference on Monday, head coach Scott Frost said that backup quarterback Tristan Gebbia missed practice after Adrian Martinez was named the starter on Sunday. Frost went on to say that the quarterback situation was “not ideal.”
A few hours after Frost took the podium, Huskers Online is reporting that Gebbia does plan to transfer.

Last week, Frost said the battle between Martinez and Gebbia was neck-and-neck
Martinez will be the first true freshman to start a season opener in Nebraska history when he takes the first snap against Akron on Saturday.
