Nebraska is staying alive in the NCAA Tournament, moving into the regional final against top-seed Arkansas.

After a hard-fought loss to the Razorbacks on Saturday, the Huskers rebounded in a big way against NJIT. The runs came early and often as Joe Acker and Cam Chick led Nebraska to a blowout win.

The duo combined for six hits, seven runs scored, and six RBI. Jaxon Hallmark and Brice Matthews also added home runs as the Huskers tallied 18 runs to avoid elimination.

On the mound, Shay Schanaman provided a quality outing while saving the bullpen arms. Schanaman went seven strong innings while allowing just two runs (one earned) with five strikeouts.

Nebraska now advances to the regional final for the first time since 2007 and for the eighth time in school history.

The path out of the Fayetteville Regional remains incredibly tough for Nebraska. The Huskers need two wins over the No. 1 overall seeded Razorbacks in a do-or-die situation to advance.

Sunday evening at 9 pm EST will be the first game of the regional final. A loss will send Nebraska home while a win means one more game on Monday.
