Cornhuskers baseball coach Will Bolt will miss Nebraska’s exhibition game against Creighton due to a positive COVID-19 test.

It was announced by Kaleb Henry on Twitter with an official statement from Bolt in his tweet.

As Bolt says in the statement, the rest of the team is healthy and they have followed protocols to support the safety of everyone competing in the game on Friday night.

It’s unknown if the rest of the team and staff will be tested before the game, though it most likely will happen after the game, especially with this latest news.

The Cornhuskers enjoyed a great 2021 campaign as they finished 34-14 overall and 31-12 in the B1G. However, their season ended in the Fayetteville Regional when the Cornhuskers lost Game 7 to Arkansas, 6-2. Had Nebraska won, they would’ve advanced to the Super Regional.

Bolt is 41-22 overall at the helm as Nebraska looks to be even better going into this season.
