Nebraska is looking to end the month of June with some momentum for the 2026 recruiting class, and head coach Matt Rhule and his staff landed a key piece on Monday.

This time, the commitment comes in the trenches with an offensive line prospect out of Louisiana. The player is Leon Noil Jr., an interior offensive lineman out of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans.

Noil spent the month of June taking official visits to Baylor, Houston, Nebraska and Mississippi State. He finally landed on a commitment to the Huskers, giving Nebraska a 3rd offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class.

Listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 255 pounds, Noil is a 3-star recruit, according to the 247 Sports Composite. He’s also the 55th overall IOL in the country for the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Noil becomes just the 10th hard commitment for Nebraska so far this cycle, and just 2 of those players have a 4-star composite rating. However, there is plenty of time to beef up the group, and how Nebraska performs on the field this fall could play a key role in the finishing touches.

After going 7-6 overall last season with a bowl win, Rhule has his group pointed toward a potential Year 3 breakout in Lincoln. If the breakout does take place, it will be a big bonus on the recruiting trail.
