Nebraska coaching search talks are starting to heat up again. Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman updated everyone on where the search is at, including some candidates to look out for.

According to a report from Feldman, sources tell him that there are three coaches high on Nebraska’s radar.

Those coaches are Kansas’ Lance Leipold, Iowa State’s Matt Campbell, and Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.

Both Leipold and O’Brien have some history with the B1G. Leipold was an assistant at Nebraska from 2001-2003, while O’Brien was Penn State’s HC from 2012-2013 before James Franklin took over. While Campbell has not coached in the B1G before, he has posted a 45-34 record at Iowa State.

Other names associated with the job opening so far have been people like Urban Meyer and Deion Sanders, but that has all been speculation up to this point.

Mickey Joseph could also end up getting retained if none of these names stand out to Nebraska AD Trev Alberts. It’s anyone’s guess as to who will be the head coach in Lincoln next fall.
