Near the end of the first half, Nebraska trailed Purdue 27-10 and appeared to be fading. After a field goal heading into the break and a hot start out of it, the Huskers have new life and are trying to tie things up once again in West Lafayette.

That first drive after halftime was particularly explosive with Casey Thompson leading Nebraska right down the field. He punctuated that drive with a huge touchdown to Trey Palmer from 37 yards out.

Palmer had been left in single coverage by Purdue, and he burnt his man over the top. Thompson’s throw was perfect, hitting the receiver in stride for 6 points.

Nebraska still trails by a touchdown, but things are suddenly a lot closer than with a new energy for the Huskers.
