Nebraska DB, veteran contributor opts for transfer portal

One veteran Nebraska DB is opting to hit the transfer portal coming out of the 2023 season.
Tamon Lynum, a former 3-star recruit from Florida in the 2020 recruiting class, is the latest Husker to hit the portal as of Thursday. Lynum spent 4 seasons in the program and appeared in all 12 games this season.
Nebraska DB Tamon Lynum has entered the transfer portal. He has two remaining years of eligibility. Lynum started one game in 2023, his fourth season in the program.

This past season, Lynum delivered 12 total tackles (10 solo) with a sack, a TFL and 2 forced fumbles in his most extensive playing time in Lincoln. Lynum was 1 of just 3 Nebraska defenders to force multiple fumbles this season.
Coming out of high school, the 6-foot-2 Lynum was a 3-star prospect out of Florida. He was 1 of 7 players out of Florida to join Nebraska in the 2020 recruiting class.
