Ferguson appeared in six games in 2019, playing 78 total snaps. He made four total tackles and two tackles for loss.
He accounted for 36 tackles in 2018, but freshman Garrett Nelson has received playing time at the position as well this season, cutting into Ferguson’s work. Huskers coach Scott Frost said Ferguson was not available for the game against Indiana, but was available for the team’s last game against Purdue.
To finish his career, Ferguson accounted for 48 tackles.
