One of Nebraska’s promising young defensive lineman suffered an early setback in his first season as a starter.
The Huskers announced during practice that sophomore defensive tackle Mick Stoltenberg will miss the Wyoming game with a knee injury:
Mick Stoltenberg has hurt his knee and got a scope. He is out this week and may return for Oregon. Carlos Davis is his replacement.

The Gretna, Nebraska native hurt the same knee previously. According to Riley, it didn’t have to do with a previous injury.
In Stoltenberg’s absence, the Huskers will turn to talented redshirt freshman Carlos Davis, who will make his first career start.
“I think if you were to describe it, it would probably be explosiveness,” Riley said of Davis. “Carlos will play hard.”
The Huskers will kick off at noon ET on Saturday.
