Things were quite testy at halftime of Nebraska’s home game against Maryland on Saturday.
A social media video taken by KETV’s Andy Kendeigh was captured as a Nebraska fan appeared to be involved in an altercation with a Maryland player. Early in the video, you can see the Maryland player appear to engage with the fan in question while being motioned to by coaches and staff to head to the locker room.
Things did not appear to get physical, but a police officer working the game is shown walking in the direction of the incident to investigate what happened.
The video is below:

As for the game itself, Maryland held a 7-0 lead at halftime. It later kicked a last-second field goal to defeat Nebraska 13-10 and become bowl-eligible while leaving the Cornhuskers a win away from achieving the mark themselves.
It’s good to see that things didn’t escalate further than they did. Still, it’s easy to see that this could have been a much uglier situation.
