Nebraska picked up a commitment from an in-state linebacker. Korver Demma announced his choice to pledge to Mickey Joseph’s Huskers squad from his Twitter account on Wednesday.
Demma doesn’t have a lot of offers as a recruit. Nebraska, South Dakota, and South Dakota State have all shown interest in him, according to Rivals. Rivals lists the LB as 6-foot-2, 216 pounds. Demma attends Gretna High School in Gretna, Nebraska.

The Huskers have used walk-on linebackers in the past to their advantage. Luke Reimer walked on in 2019 and has become a leader on defense. Reimer has 19 solo and 30 assisted tackles along with 2.5 tackles for loss and 1 sack.
Demma is from the 2023 class. Nebraska has the 9th-best 2023 class among B1G schools. The Huskers have 2 4-star commits and 11 3-star commits per Rivals.
Nebraska is 3-3 as interim HC Joseph is starting to get some momentum going after wins over Indiana and Rutgers.
Demma can be seen flying all over the field making plays on defense. In this highlight clip, he bats a ball out of the air and intercepts it:
