Making the trip to Columbus to battle No. 5 Ohio State, the Nebraska Cornhuskers were viewed as multi-touchdown underdogs.
Striking first when junior quarterback Adrian Martinez found the end zone from 10 yards out just one minute and 51 seconds into the game, the Cornhuskers tied the contest at 14 roughly midway through the second quarter, before allowing the Buckeyes to score the final 10 points of the half.
Martinez finished the opening half seven-of-nine for 72 yards, and redshirt senior running back Dedrick Mills tallied the team’s other touchdown, a three-yard run.

Ohio State junior quarterback Justin Fields, one of the Heisman Trophy favorites, was nearly perfect, completing 12-of-13 passes for 187 yards and a score, while adding 46 yards on the ground.
The touchdown pass, a 42-yarder to sophomore Garrett Wilson, was, perhaps, the best throw of the day thus far in college football.
