Nebraska is looking to end miserable underdog streak in Heroes Game vs Iowa

Nebraska has not had a lot of wins to begin with lately. Part of that is the terrible mark by the Cornhuskers as an underdog.
At 5-6 heading into the game against Iowa, Scott Frost and the Cornhuskers still have a shot to get to a bowl game and potentially a winning season. Nebraska has not made a bowl or posted a winning campaign since a nine-win mark in 2016.

Unfortunately, to get to six wins, Nebraska will have to pull off an upset against Iowa. The Hawkeyes are currently a 5.5-point favorite for the contest, and that is not good news for Frost and company.
According to College GameDay’s Chris “Bear” Fallica, Nebraska has just one win in its last 20 games as an underdog. That came during a one-point win over Purdue in 2017:
In its last 20 games as an underdog, Nebraska has pulled one upset – a 25-24 win over Purdue as a four-point dog in 2017.
