Nebraska lands 2024 commitment from elite OT out of Iowa

While it wasn’t the season that Nebraska fans had hoped for, there were strides made this season that should have fans optimistic moving forward. One area where that improvement is being shown is in the recruiting, as the Cornhuskers landed a big-time prospect on Tuesday night.
Grant Brix, a 4-star offensive lineman according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, announced on social media he is going to Nebraska.

Brix chose Nebraska over Kansas State and Oklahoma. He is currently ranked as the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country, and the 81st prospect overall.
He joins a recruiting class that is currently No. 20 in the country, and he is the second-highest prospect committed to Nebraska. Tight end Carter Nelson is another 4-star player, and he is ranked as the 42nd prospect overall.
Matt Rhule’s staff has put a big emphasis on winning the line of scrimmage in this recruiting class, and with a tight end and two offensive linemen in their top four prospects, Husker coaches have done a good job. Besides Brix and Nelson, the fourth-highest current commit for Nebraska is offensive lineman Preston Taumua, another 4-star commit from Hawaii.
