Jason Maciejczak is headed to the FBS level after all.

Maciejczak, a 3-star lineman from Pierre (S.D.) announced Monday that he would be committing to Nebraska as a member of the 2023 class. Prior to this week, Maciejczak was expected to head to FCS North Dakota.

Listed as a defensive lineman on his recruiting page, Maciejczak is expected to play on the offensive line under 1st-year head coach Matt Rhule. Maciejczak played both sides of his ball during his time at Riggs High School.

Maciejczak is the Huskers’ 4th offensive line commitment in the 2023 cycle. He’ll join in-state Nebraska products Gunnar Gottula (Lincoln Southeast), Sam Sledge (Creighton Prep), and Brock Knutson  (Scottsbluff). Maciejczak is also now the 18th member of Nebraska’s recruiting class under the new staff.

Last season, the Huskers finished 4-8 and fired 5th-year coach Scott Frost following a 1-2 start. According to 247Sports’ current team rankings, Nebraksa currently owns the No. 50 recruiting class for the 2023 cycle.
