Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class just got a big addition.
The Huskers earned a commitment from 2023 tight end prospect Benjamin Brahmer on Friday afternoon.
I am excited to announce I am officially committing to the University of Nebraska. I want to thank God for blessing me. I want to thank Coach Ruud, Coach Beckton, and Coach Frost for believing in me. I would like to thank my parents, grandparents and sisters for their support. pic.twitter.com/oozxpywt8j

Because is it’s so early in the 2023 cycle, Brahmer is currently unrated according to recruiting services.
Brahmer is listed at 6-foot-5, 185 pounds and attends Pierce High School. This appears to be a case where Nebraska made an early evaluation and secured a commitment before out-of-state programs could get involved.
According to 247Sports, Brahmer’s only other offer at this time is from Iowa State.
Brahmer is Nebraska’s first commitment for the 2023 recruiting class.
Nebraska’s 2022 recruiting class got a nice boost yesterday with the addition of 3-star receiver Victor Jones Jr. Nebraska’s 2022 class is now ranked No. 57 in the country, but there’s still plenty of time before signing day.
Nebraska RB coach and recruiting coordinator Ryan Held also recognized the commitment:
