Nebraska lands transfer commitment from Florida LB

Nebraska continues to work the transfer portal. The Huskers’ latest addition comes from the SEC.
Former Florida LB Chief Borders announced his commitment to Nebraska on Tuesday, via his Twitter account.

Borders has some B1G country roots as a Chicago native. He graduated high school in Heard County (Georgia).
As a class of 2021 prospect, Borders was rated 4-stars, the No. 26 Georgia product, No. 37 linebacker and No. 328 prospect overall nationally in the class on the 247Sports composite rankings. Borders picked up 25 scholarship offers during his 2021 recruitment, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Michigan State.
At Florida, Borders took a redshirt in 2021, playing in 4 games. This season, as a redshirt freshman, he appeared in 12 games, recording 2 tackles.
Borders is the third former Florida player to transfer to Nebraska, joining DB Corey Collier and LS Marco Ortiz.
