After one season at Nebraska, Andrew Ward will be finishing his football career elsewhere.
Ward announced his intentions via his Twitter account Saturday. A 3-star linebacker out of Muskegon, Mich., Ward signed with Nebraska as part of the 2017 recruiting class. The 6-1, 200-pound linebacker redshirted last season and did not play. As a recruit, Ward’s only other Big Ten offers came from Indiana and Penn State. He had other Power 5 offers from Arizona, Iowa State and Virginia Tech.
In the note (below) shared on Twitter, Ward thanked former coach Mike Riley and current coach Scott Frost.
A former Florida beat reporter, Andrew writes for the Saturday Tradition News Desk.
