Nebraska lost a commitment from Class of 2024 4-star running back Kewan Lacy Thursday afternoon.

The 6-foot, 205 pound back de-committed via X with a message to Matt Rhule and Nebraska fans. Check it out below:

Lacy had been committed to Nebraska for just about 4 months after choosing the Huskers over offers from programs such as Michigan, Penn State, Miami, Texas A&M, Alabama and Ole Miss. Many thought the battle for Lacy was originally between the Rebels and Huskers.

He de-commits from Nebraska just a few weeks after receiving an offer from Florida, too.

This is a tough loss for the Huskers. Lacy was the No. 2 prospect in Nebraska’s 2024 class, behind only No. 42 overall TE Carter Nelson.

Lacy is considered to be the No. 351 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 30 RB and No. 57 player out of Texas. He hails from Lancaster, which is just south of Dallas.
