Five Huskers will represent the team as captains for the 2017 season.
Nebraska head coach Mike Riley tweeted a graphic Saturday night of the five players who were named captains for the upcoming season. Tanner Lee (QB), Joshua Kalu (DB), Chris Weber (LB), Jerald Foster (OL) and Luke McNitt (FB) will be representing the Huskers this fall.

Weber, McNitt and Kalu are all seniors and Lee and Foster are juniors.
It is worth noting that Lee was named a captain, despite transferring to Nebraska just last fall and not having taken a single snap in a Huskers uniform. Apparently he’s gained the respect of his teammates relatively quickly.
The Huskers take the field for the first time on Sept. 2 when they host Arkansas State.
