He played high school football at Amos P. Godby (Florida) and was unranked coming out of high school in 2020. He didn’t officially play for the Huskers until his second year at Nebraska, forgoing the 2020 season due to COVID, playing for a total of two seasons.
While in high school, Yant rushed for 583 yards and had 10 touchdowns as a senior on fewer than 100 carries. While also adding on 908 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns as a junior, averaging 8.4 yards per carry and 12 catches for 150 yards. Yant was regarded as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, choosing Nebraska over walk-on offers from several other schools, including Power Five programs.
Yant is among the many adding themselves into the portal and he certainly won’t be the last, before the deadline on Jan. 18 2023.
So where will Yant end up? Well, we shall find out soon.
