Nebraska releases nonconference schedule for upcoming men’s basketball season

Nebraska’s nonconference schedule for the men’s basketball season has been released.

On Tuesday, Nebraska basketball released the nonconference slate for the upcoming college basketball season. The first action will be held on Oct. 27 with an exhibition game against Peru State at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The first official game of the 2021-22 campaign will be against Western Illinois on Nov. 9.

Here’s a look at Nebraska’s complete nonconference schedule for the upcoming college basketball season:

  • Oct. 27: Peru State (exhibition)
  • Oct. 31: Colorado (charity exhibition)
  • Nov. 9: Western Illinois
  • Nov. 12: Sam Houston State
  • Nov. 16: Creighton (Gavitt Games)
  • Nov. 19: Idaho State
  • Nov. 21: Southern (Multi-team event)
  • Nov. 23: Tennessee State (Multi-team event)
  • Nov. 27: South Dakota (Multi-team event)
  • Dec. 1: at North Carolina State (B1G/ACC Challenge)
  • Dec. 11: Auburn (Holiday Hoopsgiving in Atlanta)
  • Dec. 19: Kansas State
  • Dec. 22: Kennesaw State

The 2021-22 season will mark Nebraska’s third under Fred Hoiberg. The Huskers finished with a 7-20 record last season and a 3-15 mark in B1G play.
