Nebraska remains winless in B1G play despite erasing double-digit deficit in loss to Indiana

Fred Hoiberg’s squad remains on a disappointing slide despite putting up one of its toughest efforts of the season.
On Sunday, Nebraska took on Indiana in search of the first conference win of the season for the Huskers. At the break, it was all Hoosiers.
Indiana built a 12-point lead heading into halftime with Trey Galloway providing an exclamation point to the first half. He slammed in a putback dunk as time expired for the Hoosiers.
After the break, it was a different story with Teddy Allen leading Nebraska’s comeback. The Huskers would take a 65-64 lead with eight and a half minutes left in the game and led 69-66 with just over seven minutes to go.
Unfortunately for the Huskers, the Hoosiers finished the game on an 18-7 run, capturing the game by a final score of 84-76. Despite having five players in double figures, Nebraska could not stop the triple-headed threat of Trayce Jackson-Davis, Rob Phinisee, and Al Durham.
Phinisee led the Hoosiers with 18 points while Jackson-Davis had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Durham chipped in 17.
Allen led the way for Nebraska with a game-high 21 points before fouling out. Lat Mayen chipped in 15 points as every starter for the Huskers reached double figures.
With the loss, Nebraska falls to 0-5 in conference play and 4-8 overall.
