Nebraska softball dropped a heartbreaker to Tennessee on Sunday, ending the Huskers’ 2025 season. With a spot in Oklahoma City on the line, the Huskers dropped the decisive Game 3 of the Knoxville Super Regional 1-0.
Jordy Bahl was fantastic on the mound. She went 6 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits, striking out 4 without a walk over 90 pitches (57 strikes). Her final record for the season is 26-8, with an ERA of 1.55.

The difference in the game was a 1st-inning home run. The ball, hit by Tennessee’s Ella Dodge, bounced back over the wall, and the Huskers played it live as Dodge ran the bases. Dodge was tagged out at 3rd base, but immediately signaled for a review. Dodge was given the home run after review, making it 1-0, the game’s final score.
ELLA DODGE (has indeed) LEFT YARD.

The Huskers managed only 2 hits in the game off Tennessee’s Karlyn Pickens. Nebraska had its biggest threat in the top of the 5th inning when it loaded the bases off a single, hit by pitch and walk, but left them loaded.
