Nebraska’s offense has looked impressive against Colorado after two early turnovers.
The Cornhuskers turned the ball over on their first two possessions with two fumbles. Colorado scored off of both turnovers to put Nebraska in an early 14-0 hole.
Since those turnovers, the Huskers have scored three touchdowns with QB Adrian Martinez making plays with his legs and his arm. He has engineered Nebraska to 21 first-half points as the team is looking to begin the Scott Frost era with a win.
In addition to Martinez’s strong play, Nebraska has already accomplished something in one half of action that it did not accomplish in any game last season. According to Sam McKewon of the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska has rushed for 245 yards before halftime. That mark eclipses the Cornhuskers’ highest total for a single game from 2017.
Nebraska has run for 245 yards in the 1st half.
That's more than Nebraska ran for in any game last season.

Martinez was the leading rusher for the team in the first half with 86 yards and 2 TDs on 8 carries. He has also thrown for 86 yards on 9-of-11 passing.
