Nebraska star Dalano Banton makes NBA Draft decision

Nebraska guard Dalano Banton is keeping his name in the NBA Draft.
He gave that news to ESPN draft expert Jonathan Givony on Friday morning.
Nebraska's Dalano Banton is keeping his name in the NBA Draft, he told ESPN. 6'9 point guard who led Nebraska in assists, rebounds and blocks. Had a good showing at the G League Elite Camp in Chicago and in a subsequent Pro Day in front of quite a few NBA scouts.

According to Givony, Banton was impressive in front of NBA scouts at both the G-League Elite Camp and his pro day in Chicago last week.

Banton’s departure comes after just one season at Nebraska. Last year, he averaged 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He transferred to the Huskers after one year at Western Kentucky.
NBA scouts are interested in Banton’s frame moreso than his production. He’s raw as a player, but stands at 6-foot-9 and has guard skills. That’s an enticing combination for NBA teams who are looking for versatility on the perimeter.
Even with Banton leaving, Nebraska should be a more talented team next season. Fred Hoiberg is adding seven new players next year, including 5-star guard Bryce McGowens. The class ranks No. 17 nationally and No. 3 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
