The Nebraska Cornhuskers are getting set to take on the UCLA Bruins in Week 10. Luckily for the Huskers, it appears one of their key defenders will be ready to play in the contest.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that star cornerback Tommi Hill is expected to play against UCLA. The talented CB has been dealing with a foot injury that cost him 3 games in 2024. Hill last played in the Indiana game.

Hill has collected 16 tackles and 1 interception in 2024. The standout corner started his career at Arizona State before transferring to Nebraska ahead of 2022. Through 3 seasons at Nebraska, Hill has racked up 59 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 5 INTs.

In 2024, Nebraska has an impressive defense. The Huskers have the No. 16 total defense in the nation, the No. 18 scoring defense, and the No. 45 pass defense.

Hill’s presence may be needed against UCLA. The last time the Bruins played, QB Ethan Garbers completed 32-of-38 passes for 383 yards and 4 TDs against Rutgers. The Bruins won that game 35-32 to move to 2-5 on the season.

The Huskers, meanwhile, are 5-3 entering Week 10. A win over UCLA would make the Huskers bowl eligible for the first time since 2016. This Week 10 matchup will kick off from Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
