Nebraska is gearing up for the 2023 season, a landmark campaign for Memorial Stadium. This year officially marks the 100th season in the history of the iconic venue.
To commemorate that anniversary, the Huskers will have a revamped red jersey for the fall. On the left chest, a commemorative patch with the words “Memorial Stadium, 100 years through these gates” will be featured.
The uniforms also feature an homage to an unusual outing for the Big Red. During a visit from Oklahoma, the Huskers donned blue jerseys to accommodate the Sooners. The uniform recognizes that event by outlining the white numbers with a thin blue stripe.
Memorial Stadium, which gets its name from honoring World War I veterans, contains pillars recognizing those veterans. The inscription from those pillars is featured in this year’s uniform within the white shoulder stripes.
The video to unveil the jersey also features testimonials from various Husker fans. It is a well-done homage to Memorial Stadium and the fans that make Nebraska home games so memorable.

As far as alternate or revamped uniforms go, this is a great look for Nebraska. The classic designs of the iconic Big Red remain but Memorial Stadium receives an appropriate tribute with amazing features.
