Nebraska volleyball is heading to Tampa!

The Huskers downed No. 3-seed Arkansas Saturday night at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, winning in 4 sets. Nebraska erased a 5-point deficit in set 1, 26-24. They then took a 2-0 advantage with an easy 25-14 point in the following set.

But Arkansas wouldn’t go down without a fight. The Razorbacks stood tall to win set 3, 25-21. Arkansas then hopped to a late lead but fell to Nebraska in a close set 4, 25-23. The Huskers won on a service error from Arkansas.

The Huskers were led offensively by Merritt Beason, who finished with a match-high 19 kills, 11 digs and 8 blocks, very nearly securing a triple-double in the process. Eight blocks is a career high for Beason. Harper Murray had an incredible evening as well, posting a 15-kill, 12-dig double-double.

Here’s the final point from Nebraska’s outing:

The Huskers will face off against Pitt in the Final Four while Wisconsin, which beat Oregon Saturday night, will face off against Texas. The National Title will be played on December 17.
