Nebraska has added a walk-on receiver to its 2020 class with a commitment from in-state prospect Ty Hahn.

Hahn is unranked by the 247 Sports Composite, but possesses good size for the next level. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185 lbs., Hahn hails from Johnson, Nebraska and has the length one looks for in a wide receiver.

Hahn announced his commitment on Twitter:

Following Hahn’s commitment, Mike Sautter with the Omaha World-Herald shared more details of Hahn’s preferred walk-on arrangement. According to Sautter, Hahn indicated that he was assured he will be put on scholarship after 18 months in the program. However, Hahn has the potential to earn his scholarship before then:

“Coach Frost promised me that if I walk on for 18 months I’ll be put on scholarship for my last three years of school,” Hahn said. “However, he said I have the chance to earn the scholarship before 18 months is through by working my way onto the field during my time as a walk-on.”

Hopefully, this arranged agreement works out for both parties involved. Hahn had one FBS offer from Wyoming and also received FCS offers from South Dakota State and North Dakota.

Here’s a look at Hahn’s highlights from Hudl:
