A piece of Scott Frost’s 2021 recruiting class for Nebraska has opted to enter the transfer portal.

The news came Friday afternoon with wide receiver Latrell Neville heading to the portal ahead of the May 1 deadline. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 195 lbs., Neville was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school.

Neville was Nebraska’s highest-ranked WR commit via the 2021 recruiting class. He was a 3-star prospect and the No. 104 WR nationally, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

This offseason, Nebraska has revamped the offensive coaching staff under Frost. Mark Whipple has joined the Huskers to serve as the new OC after holding the same position at Pittsburgh, and Mickey Joseph has returned to Nebraska to lead the WR group after serving in that role under Ed Orgeron at LSU.

It will be interesting to see how those changes help the offense in 2022.
