Yogi Berra didn’t go to the University of Nebraska, or play football for that matter. But one of the Yankee great’s most well known quotes seems to be ringing true in Lincoln this season.

“It’s like deja vu all over again,” and fans for the Cornhuskers are feeling the pain.

This time it was against No. 19 Wisconsin. The Huskers were right there until the end against a ranked team on the road, and couldn’t come away with the win, losing 35-28 to the Badgers. The Nebraska players are feeling the frustration of being so close. Huskers wide receiver Samori Toure put it best.

Wisconsin never trailed during the back-and-forth contest, and came away with the win. But the Huskers kept it interesting. Once again they had a chance to tie it up in the final seconds. But the Badgers were able to hold on for the win. The victory extended their overall winning streak against the Cornhuskers to eight.

Nebraska will have another chance to topple a ranked team when they conclude their season hosting No. 18 Iowa on Friday, Nov. 26 with a 12:30 PM kickoff scheduled.
