New England Patriots sign rookie kicker out of Michigan as UDFA

One of Michigan’s all-time leading scorers will get his shot at the NFL.
Wednesday afternoon, Quinn Nordin announced via Twitter that he had signed on with the New England Patriots. He went undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft after wrapping up his career with the Wolverines.

Nordin finished his career with 245 total points, a mark good enough for third on Michigan’s all-time list of kickers. He is third all-time in field goals made with 42 but is seventh in field-goal percentage at 72.4%.
Along with those numbers, Nordin has some impressive yardage markers to his credit. He holds the record for the longest field goal by a collegiate player in AT&T Stadium at 55 yards. Nordin also drilled a 57-yard field goal in the Citrus Bowl, the longest ever for that bowl game, and tied for the longest in Michigan history.
Nordin will join fifth-round pick Cameron McGrone as members of Michigan’s 2021 class to join the Patriots.
