New Nebraska WR Trey Palmer bringing plenty of confidence to spring ball

One comment from Trey Palmer during a 2-minute drill in spring practice might tell you all you need to know about Nebraska’s newest transfer wide receiver. Scott Frost was more than willing to share it.
“He came into the huddle one time earlier in spring in 2-minute drill and said ‘just throw me a deep ball and this thing will be over,'” Frost said of Palmer during Monday’s media availability. “And two plays later, we threw him a deep ball, and it was over. You like to see that kind of confidence and energy.”
That’s the kind of confidence Palmer brings to Nebraska. That’s the kind of confidence the Huskers need on the field.
Palmer transferred into Nebraska after spending the past three seasons at LSU. The former 4-star recruit hit the portal following the 2021 season as the program underwent a coaching change from Ed Orgeron to Brian Kelly.
During his time in Baton Rouge, the receiver played in 28 games and hauled in 41 catches for 458 yards and 3 touchdowns. With the Huskers, he’s expected to jump in immediately and make an impact.
It sounds like he’s ready to handle that challenge.
