The New York Giants picked up a pair of players from the waivers on Wednesday, per Dan Salomone of Giants.com. Both the players were claimed from the Arizona Cardinals.

Wyatt Davis is heading to the Giants after spending his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, and Cardinals. Davis played for Ohio State from 2017-2020. The Vikings originally drafted Davis with the 86th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Davis played in 6 games for Minnesota in 2021 and one each for New Orleans and Arizona this season.

While there’s no confirmation as to what Davis’ role will be, New York did just move G Shane Lemieux to the injured reserve on Wednesday.

The Giants may need some depth for their playoff push. New York is 8-6-1 after its recent 27-24 loss to Minnesota. Its last two games will be against the Indianapolis Colts (Jan. 1) and NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles (Jan. 8).

It’ll be interesting to see how the Giants use Davis on the O-line.
