Remember the days of the BCS? Yeah, the computer rankings that would determine which two teams were the best in college football?

That era is over. The College Football Playoff has been in place, and of course, there are rumblings for change. But, was the BCS better? Is expansion currently needed?

Regardless, the BCS is done. We don’t have to worry about computers taking over the world of college football anymore. But, what if that was the system we still used?

On Tuesday, a simulated version of the BCS rankings was released following Week 11. Take a look at the top 16:

LSU is in front by quite a bit with Ohio State at No. 2. The Buckeyes are comfortably ahead of everybody else and there’s a steep drop off from No. 3 Clemson to the rest.

That’s likely how the actual CFP committee probably sees things currently. We’ll find out Tuesday night as to how they exactly feel.

For the B1G in the BCS simulator, Minnesota comes in at No. 7 and Penn State is No. 8. Thanks to the Gophers upsetting the Nittany Lions this past weekend, that is probably the most intriguing story-line heading into Tuesday night.

Where does the CFP committee put Minnesota?

We’ll find out soon enough.
