We already knew the B1G had some really special talent headed into the 2018 college football season. But it’s always nice to get that affirmation from other valuable voices.
NFL.com recently released its list of the top 25 prospects entering the year and four players out of the B1G made the list. Better yet, two of those players were named in the top five and three were listed in the top 10.
Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa was listed as the top prospect in college football, coming in at No. 1. Behind him was Michigan defensive lineman Rashan Gary, who was tabbed at No. 4.
Another Buckeye defensive lineman, Dre’Mont Jones, made the cut, coming in at No. 15. The lone offensive player, Iowa tight end Noah Fant, filled the No. 9 slot.
Four players, all ranked in the top 15, is a pretty good spot for the B1G. Now, with all four players in action on Saturday, we’ll see if they can live up to the preseason hype.
Ohio State opens the year against Oregon State and Iowa will host Northern Illinois.
Michigan is playing in the marquee matchup of the weekend, traveling to South Bend to battle Notre Dame.
