Michigan continued to own the early part of the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night in Green Bay by sending 3 players to the pros in the first 13 picks.

With the 10th overall pick, the Chicago Bears selected tight end Colston Loveland. Then, just 3 picks later, the Miami Dolphins took defensive tackle Kenneth Grant at No. 13.

Going into the 2025 draft, Michigan boasted 52 first-round draft picks in its storied football history. That tied the Wolverines with LSU for the seventh-most picks all-time. Then, in just the first 13 picks of Thursday night’s draft, Michigan added 3 more names to that prestigious list, with Loveland and Grant following defensive tackle Mason Graham, who was picked at No. 5 by the Cleveland Browns.

Michigan had multiple first-round picks in 1 draft happen 10 times. Make that 11 times now after its first-round bonanza. The 3 first-round picks in 2025 tied the Wolverines’ record, which was set twice previously, the last time coming in 2001.

Colston posted career highs last season with 56 receptions and 5 touchdowns to go with his 582 yards receiving in Ann Arbor. Now, he’ll be staying in the Midwest to join the Bears and catch passes from former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams.

Meanwhile, NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said the 6-foot-4 Grant has big-time upside because of his size and speed, which made him attractive to the Dolphins. Last fall, Grant earned second-team All-Big Ten honors and was named a third-team All-American by the Associated Press.
